Chief Executive Officer - Deb Murphy

Deb is responsible for the overall management of the Association: planning, developing, and implementing Association goals, programs, and activities; identifying opportunities, interests, needs, and concerns of members; developing, establishing, and leading the political advocacy on behalf of members.

Chief Operating Officer - Heather Skinner

Heather oversees Aging Services of Washington's accounting, including the development of Aging Services annual operating budget; serves as a liaison to outside auditors and investment managers; provides human resource information to the Aging Services of Washington staff including benefit management; develops internal technology solutions and provides technical system support; directs Member Services including research and development of new programs; manages the Group Retrospective Rating Program (GRRP) including recruitment and refund calculations; oversees Aging Services of Washington projects; staff to the Finance/Audit Committee, Nominating Committee and Technology Committee.

Director of Clinical and Regulatory Services – Bonnie Blachly

Bonnie assists members with questions regarding policies and procedures and other system or operational issues specific to nursing facilities and assisted living settings. Bonnie will also offer members training on a variety of topics, review statements of deficiencies, assist in the preparation of plans of corrections, and provide guidance on citations; staff to our Assisted Living Committee and Workforce Development Committee.

Director of Senior Living & Community Services - Julie Peterson

Julie works with Aging Services congressional delegation, state legislators, county planning officials and other housing advocates to raise the level of awareness and the need for significant funding for the development of new affordable senior housing units and the renovation or replacement of existing senior housing units; advocates for the coordination of support services, including transportation, meals, medical and nursing care, in-home service delivery and home modification services to promote safety and wellness; responds to members' questions and information needs regarding home and community based services, and both affordable and subsidized senior housing; staff to the Senior Living & Community Services Committee.

Director of Member Development - Pat Sylvia

As the Director of Member Development, Pat is responsible for: conference and event planning, and other trainings throughout the year; preparing the Aging Services of Washington Communiqué, our newsletter; producing featured member articles; developing promotional materials for Aging Services of Washington; engaging in resident-centered care initiatives, and other related activities, to promote shared learning on the 'future' of aging services; staff to the Professional Development Committee and the Public Relations Committee.

Director of Financial Services - Paul Montgomery

Paul analyzes, responds to, educates, and disseminates information on payment issues and methods, billing and other fiscal policy areas affecting nursing facilities, boarding homes, and community based services; conducts research; reviews, analyzes, and tracks legislation and regulations; supports federal and state advocacy efforts; and provides operational support and technical assistance to members; staff to the Healthcare Committee.

Office Manager - Michelle Carlson

Michelle assists Aging Services of Washington members, directs members' and other persons' calls to the most appropriate staff person, and responds to members' questions regarding education program offerings; performs payable and receivable accounting functions; maintains the conference and education program registration database and the membership database; assists all staff when needed and maintains office supplies and equipment.
